    I visited Hillstone as part of a test/experiment. Hillstone is part of the Hillstone Restaurant Group, which also owns Rutherford Grill, home to my favorite burger, the Hickory Burger. This burger features a patty with bacon, shredded cheddar, and onion, topped with house-made hickory sauce. Although it's off-menu now, making it occasionally inconsistent (sliced cheese vs. grated), I was curious to see if Hillstone could replicate it, given their similar menu to Rutherford. I was prepared to try the regular burger if they couldn't make the Hickory Burger. However, when I asked our server about it, she knew exactly what I was referring to! The burger arrived looking almost identical to the one at Rutherford. Unfortunately, the BBQ sauce seemed a bit thicker and didn't quite taste the same. Since the sauce is what makes the burger, my first bite was not as impressive as I had hoped. While it was a good burger, it didn't match the Rutherford experience. On the bright side, the side of slaw tasted exactly the same. Although I was a bit disappointed, I understand that different restaurants might use different ingredients. Overall, it's still a good burger, and I would order it again!

    Hillstone is a safe go-to if you looking for a glass of wine with a great view. Service is great and the food is tasty.

    Yummy! This place is great! The waiter the hostess the food!! You name it! Everything delicious and always consistent as far as taste and quality! I love this place! This location is beautiful accross from the bay and the entrance to the boat service to take you to Alcatraz Lovely....we will be back
